Children stranded in Denmark back in Malta

The children that had been left stranded in Denmark had arrived back in Malta on Monday night after a special AirMalta flight was sent to pick them up.

Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi had personally asked for this special flight and an AirMalta employee had also been suspended from work because of the issue.

On its Facebook page, AirMalta published pictures of the children being greeted on the runway by Minister Konrad Mizzi, AirMalta’s Chief Executive Clifford Chetcuti and AirMalta’s Head of Communication Paul Sies upon their landing.
